Part of our mission is to educate our customers about the many different herbs and clay that go into our products. Below is an alphabetical list of all the herbs in all of our products and a short description of what it contributes to the finished products.
Barberry Root Bark (Berberis vulgaris) Wildharvested
Traditional herbal medicine uses barberry is used to relieve inflammation caused by bacterial or protozoal infections of ears, nose, throat, and sinuses, and to relieve pain caused by yeast infections of the skin or vagina. Barberry is also used to relieve psoriasis.
Black Walnut Hulls (Juglans nigra) Wildharvested
Black walnut hulls contain juglone, a chemical that is antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, and a fungicide.
Calendula Flowers (Calendula officinalis) Organic
Calendula creams and washes are used to disinfect minor wounds and to treat infections of the skin. The antibacterial and immunostimulant properties of the plant make it extremely useful in healing cuts and cuts in people who have compromised immune systems. The herb stimulates the production of collagen at wound sites and minimizes scarring. Gargling calendula water may ease sore throat.
Chamomile Flowers (Matricaria recutita) Organic
The traditional use of chamomile tea is to induce deep sleep.
Chamomile stops spasms in the smooth muscles lining the stomach and intestines, and contains chemicals that are anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and antiparasitic. One hint for best results: Always brew chamomile tea in a closed container, especially if you live at a high altitude.
Chickweed (Stellaria media) Organic
Chickweed is a "drawing herb," once thought to remove toxins from the skin, now more typically explained as a microcirculatory stimulant for the skin. Chickweed may be employed to treat acne, abscesses of the skin, and eczema, as well as duodenal and peptic ulcers.
Comfrey Leaf (Symphytum officinale) Organic
One of the most common uses of comfrey leaf is in an ointment or a poultice applied to sprains, broken bones and other wounds, where it promotes rapid healing of both skin lesions and bone breaks.
Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale) Certified Organic
The common dandelion, enemy of well-kept lawns, is an exceptionally nutritious food. Its leaves and root contain substantial levels of vitamins A, C, D, and B complex as well as iron, magnesium, zinc, potassium, manganese, copper, choline, calcium, boron, and silicon.
Golden Seal Root (Hydrastis Canadensis) Certified Organic
Goldenseal root is considered to be an effective broad spectrum antibiotic, and is very much in demand worldwide. Its antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties have led researchers to study goldenseal root as a possible alternative to chemical antibiotics. Goldenseal also appears to promote healthy glandular function, and may have a tonic and detoxifying effect on the entire system.
Grapefruit Seed Extract
Grapefruit seed extract is one of the most widely applied ingredients for its anti-bacterial & preservative qualities. It has marvelous stabilizing properties.

Lavender Essential Oil (Lavandula officinalis) Organic
Traditionally used in salves, ointments and antisepcitics. Lavender Essential Oil is an all around cure all used for-abscess, acne, athlete’s foot, bruises, burns, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, eczema, inflammations, insect bites and stings, insect repellant, insomnia, rashes, rheumatism, ringworm, scabies, sore muscles, sprains, stiff joints, stress, sunburn, sunstroke and wounds.
Lavender Flowers (Lavandula officinalis) Organic
Lavender is used for treating insomnia, nervous stomach, and anxiety. The British Herbal Phamacopoeia lists lavender as a treatment for flatulence, colic, and depressive headaches, and many modern herbal practitioners use the herb to treat migraines in menopause. In Spain, lavender is added to teas to treat diabetes and insulin resistance.
Neem (Azadirachta indica) Certified Organic
The leaves have anbibacterial and antiviral properties, and are often used in cosmetic and skin treatment preparations. It is an effective insect repellant, and its astringent properties make it an excellent treatment for skin conditions ranging from acne to eczema.
Nettles (Urtica dioica) Certified Organic
Nettle's purported anti-inflammatory effects have been repeatedly confirmed by modern research over the past ten years. It is particularly effective in treating allergic rhinitis, relieving nearly all the symptoms of itchy, watery eyes, sneezing and runny nose.
Mullein Leaf (Verbascum thapsus) Certified Organic
The soothing mucilages of mullein coat sore throats and make coughing more productive.
Olive Leaf (Olea europaea) Certified Organic
Antibacterial effects- Elenoic acid from olives is known to be antibacterial (killing both infectious and helpful bacteria). Olive leaf poultices may heal skin by encouraging circulation rather than by killing bacteria.
Oregano (Origanum vulgare) Certified Organic
The leaves and flowering stems are strongly antiseptic. oregano is one of the best herbal antiseptics because of its high thymol content. (Thymol is a bacteria anf fungi killer)
Pau D'Arco (Tabebuia impetiginosa) Wildharvested
Pau d'arco can be used with success to treat colds, flu, sore throat, and yeast infections
Plantain (Plantago major) Organic
Many of its active constituents show antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, as well as being anti-inflammatory and antitoxic.
The leaves, shredded or chewed, are a traditional treatment for insect and animal bites. The antibacterial action helps prevent infection and the anti-inflammatory relieves pain, burning and itching. There is some investigation ongoing to study its affects on lowering blood sugar.
Pascalite Clay
Pascalite was gifted to Humanity by Nature. Known to the American Indians as EE-WAY-KEE - The Earth That Heals - Pascalite was named after Emile Pascal, a French trapper who first introduced it to the Western world in 1930. Found only in Wyoming's Big Horn Mountains. Pascalite exists as an 18" vein of dense, cream-colored, cheese-like material. It is super rich in organically assimilated minerals and trace elements.
Raw Honey
Raw honey is antiseptic, antibiotic, antifungal, and antibacterial -- it never spoils!
Shepard's Purse (Capsella bursa pastoris) Organic
Shepherd's purse contains a protein that acts in the same way in the body as the hormone oxytocin, constricting the smooth muscles that support and surround blood vessels, especially those in the uterus.
Other chemicals in the herb may accelerate clotting. Still other compounds in the herb help the uterus contact, explaining the long-time use of the herb to help the womb return to normal size after childbirth. Shepherd's purse is also a mild diuretic, providing potassium to replace the potassium lost through increased urination.
Precautions
Use of shepherd's purse to treat spotting during pregnancy is not recommended since the herb can cause uterine contraction. If bleeding treated by the herb persists for more than three days, consult a qualified healthcare practitioner. Not recommended if you have severe liver or kidney disease.
ShaveGrass (Equisetum arvense) Organic
Shavegrass or Horsetail is very rich in silica. The presence of bioflavonoids are believed to cause a diuretic action, while the silica content is said to exert a connective tissue-strengthening and anti-arthritic action. Some experts have suggested that the element, silica, is a vital component for bone and cartilage formations. Silica is needed for the absorption of calcium in the body and it helps to check fatty deposits in the arteries. It is used as a tissue builder and may be employed in the treatment of debility and anemic conditions. It is strengthening to the hair, fingernails and broken bones.
Slippery Elm (Ulmus rubra) Certified Organic
The mucilage in slipper elm bark also relieves inflammation and irritation in the throat and urinary tract when the herb is taken as a tea or infusion, or tincture.
St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) Organic
St. John's Wort as a whole herb gives the body "just enough medicine" to overcome the physical aches and pains and mild viral infections that keep the brain from recovering from depression.
Precautions
St. John's wort extracts may increase sensitivity to sunlight and risk of sunburn, but this is extremely rare when the whole herb is used.
Not to be used with a MAO or Protease inhibitor.
Tea Tree Essential Oil (Melaleuca)
Traditional used in salves, soaps, toothpastes, deodorants,
disinfectants, gargles, germicides, and increasingly, in aftershaves and spicy colognes. Benefits: Abscess, acne, athlete’s foot, blisters, burns, candida, chicken pox, cold sores, dandruff, ear and nose infections,
fungal infections, herpes, insect bites, oily skin, skin rashes, staph, vaginal infections, warts and wounds.
Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva ursi) Organic
Uva Ursi does not kill the bacteria that cause urinary tract infection. Instead, it releases complex polysaccharides that keep the bacteria "rooting" in the lining of the bladder and urethra, allowing the infectious microorganisms to be flushed away with the flow of urine.
White Willow (BarkSalix alba) Organic
Willow bark is the grandmother of aspirin and many other medications for arthritis and rheumatism. Aspirin does not require digestion by intestinal bacteria, and works more quickly. Willow Bark, on the other hand, continues to provide pain relief longer than aspirin.
Wild Cherry Bark (Prunus serotina) Certified Organic
Much of the healing activity of wild cherry bark is associated with scopoletin: which is among other things, analgesic, antibacterial, anticonstrictive (in the bronchial tubes), anti-inflammatory, fungicide, lowering blood pressure, lowering blood sugars, relaxing the muscles.
The bark is also about 1/2% hydrogen cyanide, just enough to stop coughing and to relax the bronchial tubes without having any other physiological effects.
Witch Hazel Bark (Hamamelis virginiana) Certified Organic
Witch hazel bark is more appropriate than witch hazel leaf when the problem is vascular weakness (for instance, hemorrhoids).
Yellow Dock (Rumex crispus) Certified Organic
This plant is rich in many vitamins, including iron.
Yarrow Flowers (Achillea millefolium) Organic
The Complete German Commission E Monographs recommends sitz baths with yarrow added to the bath water to relieve pelvic cramps in women.
